Why the project needed coordinated engineering.

The design had to balance motion and packaging without postponing stiffness, assembly and maintainability decisions until fabrication.

Create a coherent six-axis physical architecture

The arm needed usable movement, compact actuator integration, structural support and accessible assembly within one coordinated mechanical design.

Engineering Risk

Late joint conflicts could trigger major rework

Joint interference, insufficient actuator space, weak support or inaccessible fasteners could require new links and brackets after parts had already been manufactured.
